If you’re willing to wake up extra early the day after Christmas, enjoy fighting for parking, as well as dealing with the huge unruly crowds; then participating in the numerous fast and furious Boxing Day sales is definitely for you! Boxing Day has always been a yearly tradition. December 26th has always been the best day of the year to purchase a variety great items (and a few of next year’s Christmas gifts as well!) at amazing prices. However I’ve noticed over the past few years that shopping over the internet is just as exciting; while at the same time less stressful and much more convenient.
I don’t have to get up early the next day after an enjoyable, yet exhausting Christmas Day to get dressed, battle impatient and aggressive shoppers, and not find exactly what I’m looking for on sale. It’s a great feeling to know that I can avoid all of the frustrating line-ups, the fighting for items and all of the tiresome travelling! With one simple click of my mouse, I can purchase almost any item that I want online in the comfort of my own home. My favorite online sales are the ones that offer 60-80% off, last well into the New Year, or until “quantities last” events. I love the fact that most of the time I can find a greater variety, (as well as better quality) of products available at online sales than what is readily available in the stores. Online shops usually have a larger stock on hand. If they don’t have the product currently available, I can usually go on a waiting list. Then when the stock is replenished I’ll still be able to purchase the item for the original sale price! Now that more and more online stores are also offering rock bottom prices (up to 50-80% off most items) well into the first week (and beyond) of the New Year, I don’t have to purchase everything at the same time, or for one day only!
I’m also greatly relieved that some online shops now offer free shipping! No more lugging around items in shopping carts and bags for me! More often than not these days online stores are offering free shipping for deliveries within the United States, or after the consumer spends a certain amount of money (usually $100 or more). This is a great incentive for me to avoid spending extra money on gas and fighting the annoying holiday traffic! With all of these extra perks available for online shopping, I can truly enjoy the new tradition of my online Boxing Day shopping experience!
