March Madness is the epitome of college sports and being a fan at its greatest. While other sports have their playoffs and finals... nothing compares to college basketball in their determining the champion.

College football has its BCS. There are rarely any surprises or upsets in the final determination of the final game. More than likely, the 2 last teams have been ranked in the top 5-10 for the entire year and have very little margin of error in losing games. They only play 12-13 games a year... who's to say they're the best when they haven't played even 10% of the country's teams?

With basketball, you're allowed to have a bad game throughout the year and still come out on top. You can win every single game all year and lose the first weekend of the NCAA tournament. You can be a Cinderella team from a tiny conference and bring down a giant school from a monster team. It's all about having the hope and believing you can do it. No one who wasn't connected to George Mason selected them to be in the final four last year. Would that happen in football? Not a chance.

So, here's to the little guys, the guys with less than perfect records, and the teams who say you can't do it: Enjoy your tournament "dance", whether it ends the first weekend, or lasts throughout the month. We're all rooting for you!
