Christmas 2010 is more than about snow and Santa. For some families, it's about reconnecting with simpler things and simpler ways of life. Not everyone wants baubles and bags, some want books. And not just any book, your herb and natural living fans will want resources and guides for healthier and more organic living, such as flower remedies. For that flower essence enthusiast on your list, here is a list of possible book options:
Flower Essences for Animals Remedies for Helping the Pets You Love by Lila Devi (2010)
Published by Crystal Clarity Publishers, this flower essence guide offers insight on how to apply these practical tools for improving the quality of life for your beloved pets. Addressing specific behaviors and conditions, this paperback is a wonderful, yet comprehensive, guide to daily and emergency pet care. The guide gives details about the healing properties of the flower essences, but also includes information on tree and gem remedies as well. Written by Camilla Blossom, the flower alchemist and essence creator, this colorful book compliments a practitioners’ kit as well as includes samples of poetry.
There are also a number of books that teach the basics about flower remedies that that are old editions, but clearly wonderful books for your naturalist bookworm. These books include Richard Katz and Patricia Kaminski’s book, Flower Essence Repertory (Flower Essence Society, 1994), Maechelle Wright’s Flower Essences: Reordering Our Understanding and Approach to Illness and Health (Perelandra, 1988), and Dr. Edward Back and E. J. Wheeler’s, The Bach Flower Remedies (McGraw Hill, 1998.)
Whether you are a parent who is looking for a resource or a gift for inquisitive child, or a friend who is looking for a special gift for a loved one, flower remedy (or essence) books are a great choice. While the list of new books for 2010 may be short, these books are clearly great guides to better health and understanding nature!
