The nineties were full of many sitcoms that kept watchers of all ages anxiously stationed in front of their television sets to get their doses of weekly laughter. Some sitcoms had short runs of four years or less. Others were so addicting they lasted entire decades. The top five best US sitcoms of the nineties were as follows:

Frasier (1993-2004)

Kelsey Grammer took this "Cheers" spin-off to soaring heights during the 90's with his role as the newly bachelorized psychiatrist deeply in need of a psychiatrist. His dry humor mixed in with the rigid sarcasm of his brother/rival psychiatrist Niles and the antics of his ex-detective father kept Americans on the edge of their couches for over ten years. Lasting as long as its parent show "Cheers", "Frasier" goes down in history as being one of the most successful spin-offs of all times.

Family Matters (1989-1998)

Jaleel White took nerd fashion to a whole new level with his portrayal of the highly intelligent love smitten Steve Urkel in 90's sitcom "Family Matters". Jerry plays a stand up comedian with questionable obsessive compulsive disorder who continuously breaks up with women for no reason. His best friend George is the complete opposite of him and has absolutely no morals, standards, or trust in humanity. His ex-girlfriend Elaine is constantly searching for a man and Kramer has no job and walks around severely unkempt while frequenting Jerry's fridge. These four remain friends and go through various mundane situations. For some reason, this show clicked with viewers and stuck around for eight seasons. The re-runs are still very popular. Go figure.

Fresh Prince Of Bel Air (1990-1996)

Will Smith was hilarious as the rough edged teen trying to transition from the means streets of Philadelphia to his family's mansion in Bel Air. The show took a comedic
