Christmas is around the corner and it is time to mail out greetings cards to friends, relatives and loved ones If you want to write more than just a simple salutation and your signature below the pre-printed greeting, you may be wondering what exactly you need to write. Here are some suggestions that you may want to consider.
1. Write a simple greeting.
You may write a simple greeting which may sound something similar to "May you have wonderful Christmas", "May you have a blessed Christmas", "May this Christmas brings much joy to you",or "Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year".
2. Quote a verse in the Bible relating to Christmas.
You may quote Matthew 1:18-24 especially the 22nd verse, Luke 2:1-21 especially seventh verse, the eleventh verse or the fourteenth verse, John 1:14, or Isaiah 7:14.
3.Quote a famous Christmas poem.
You may copy a famous poem on Christmas or a poem by a famous poet on the subject matter. To avoid any problems with copyright issues, copy only a poem already available in the public domain. You may also want to write your very own poem on the card. You may find some good Christmas poems from worldofchristmas.net.
4. Quote a saying on Christmas.
You may quote a saying on Christmas by a famous person. You may find famous quotes on this special occasion on www.famous-quotes-and-quotations.com. Just choose the one you think is the most appropriate for your card. However, it is good to check that the one you have chosen is already in the public domain so that you can freely use it without any hindrance.
5. Write something about yourself.
If you have not written to the recipient of your card for a long time you may want to tell something about yourself to him or her. You may also have to write about your family as well if you have one. The person may want to know how have you been keeping so far and the latest about you especially if you have not been in touch with him or her for a long time. Remember to write only what you are comfortable to share. This type of card should be blank. You may want to include a personal newsletter for everyone who receives your card.
With the above suggestions, I believe you will be able to decide what to write on your Christmas card.
