The reasoning behind this thought would be that in the past couple of years most stores have had "Better than Black Friday Deals". They have door buster sales all month long from Thanksgiving Day until Christmas Eve. Then there is the Day after Christmas sales that go on just about until New Years Eve and New Years Day. It's almost like thinking about it as a major month of Shopping instead of doing it all on one day now.
We have been going to do the Black Friday every year for the past 20 years or so. The joy of doing it at our Walmart was because it was a regular store and you had to stand in line with every one else to get the good deals. There was no one parking beside the spot for the gift of the hour to be on sale. Also, after working Black Friday a couple of years in a row it kind of gets you sick of the same store every year. I looked for deals about a month before and thought I had everything planned out.
Well, guess what, I was more disappointed this year with planning then I have been in previous years. I would also check my sites to see what we needed and what toys were coming out. Then I'd go stand in line back in electronics or in the bikes or where ever else I needed to, so that way I could get that one item I needed before every one else got it. Well, as it turns out, a lot of stores started to do tickets and handouts for the items they had a limited amount on. Making the getting up at 3 or 4 o'clock a really big waste of time.
Fred's for black Friday really made a disappointment because after advertising layaway they said they weren't doing on black Friday sale items. They've been trying to get rid of all the items they got in for black Friday because a bunch of people were wanting to come in for certain items and put them in layaway.
Now, other stores seem to say they have better deals, but not having a credit and not having a checking out the only way for some or a lot of us is to pay by cash or to use layaway. So to actually shop Black Friday would be a really big waste of time. Considering all the deals you can get after black friday. If you wait for the right deals. Plus now, you can get online sometimes up to an hour before the stores open and start ordering for pick up in the store. So what is the point of actually getting up and going to shop if all the alternatives make it easier.
