We all love our peanut butter! Whether it's a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, served on crackers, or even a yummy peanut butter sandwich with a hot bowl of chili, then peanut butter lovers understand what I'm talking about. But, have you ever thought about saving the empty jars for other uses. There are lots of ways empty peanut butter jars can come in handy, which makes the price for a jar at the local grocery well worth the money spent.  Let's take a look at some of the ways how one can make use of an empty peanut butter jar.

Do you have a roach problem in your home? Have you tried every possible way to get rid of them but to no avail? Well, worry no more! The empty peanut butter jar is here to save the home! Wipe the top inside of the jar clean with a paper towel and lay the jar on its side where the roach hangout is usually broken up when the lights go on. Wiping the top of the jar will allow the bugs to climb in, and as they make their way to the back of the jar, their tiny little legs get saturated with the oils in peanut butter, disabling them from crawling out. I'd say that's well worth the couple of dollars for a jar of peanut butter.

Are you a handy man or a crafts lover? Empty peanut butter jars can come in really handy for organizing and keeping small parts separated. Nuts, screws, bolts, buttons, nails, and any other objects that are small and clutter your space can now be given a new home. Label the jars with their contents and stack them in their own area, giving you that much needed space and organization.

Empty peanut butter jars can also come in really handy for holding food and drink. Do you travel often? You can put fruits or vegetables in them for the next time you have to take a road trip. They'll even fit in most cup holders for easy access. Or maybe you just want to use the empty jar for pocket change. It would make things a lot easier when paying tolls and not having to search for change in a hurry. The uses for empty peanut butter jars is endless, and can come in handy for a number of various things.

So the next time you're about to throw out an empty jar of peanut butter, you may smile about the knowledge of it's other uses, and set it down to be cleaned. And if you've ever tried to clean an empty jar of peanut butter, then you know how frustrating it can be. The best known method of cleaning is to use a small rubber spatula to get the majority of it out, then slowly running hot water over the remnants. This will usually do the trick. Now it's time to start organizing!
