Bun, Bit, and Macy
Bun was already grown when I met her master again.
Bun had been in his life for two or three years,
And she resented my intrusion on her "territory"
But she and I became friends, until that fateful day-
She ran under my car and wasn't fast enough.
When I finally found her, she was already cold.
Bit was brought to us by his older daughter,
A tiny ball of fur, full-blood Chihuahua.
She had always been a woman's dog,
But immediately took to him as her true love.
She died of heart problems, two years ago.
Macy was not supposed to happen,
But was his birthday present
From his youngest grandchild.
He named her Macy, for her.
She has taken over the house-
And us! She will be the very last house dog!
