The Poet Knows It
In the blink of an eye
And idea is born
The thoughts dragged out
And the pieces form
Slowly but surely
The time draws near
Everyone must gather
For everyone must hear
The ways of the new
And changes of old
Who will fight for right
Who will be so bold
The writer, The worker
The philosopher, And broker
The singer, The sailor
The athlete, And tailor
The ones who love it
The ones who need it
Are the ones who earn it
Are the ones who bleed for it
In their eyes it burns
As intense as the sun
They’ve lived their lives for this
Revolution will come
Everyone must gather
For everyone must hear
Free thoughts of today
Is why tomorrow they fear
Who will lead the way
Out from the cold
Who will set the bar
And shatter the mold
The doctor,The dancer
The waitress, And actor
The pilot, The postman
The mortician, And teacher
The next wave approaches
The people will cry
For their beliefs and love
They would die
To each their niche
And place in space
The ones who crave it
The ones who see it
Are the ones to change it
Are the ones who make it
There must be
A driving force
A star to shine
And set the course
To touch the people
To put them first
A god among men
With an unquenchable thirst
For freedom
And the poet
Knows it

Poetry: The poet's dream
The Dream of a Poet
The poet's dream
Is to paint with words
A canvas of colours
And emotions.
The poet's dream
Is to create works
by Maya Masi
The poet’s dream is a complex thing.
Images swirl and morph and bend.
Is there ever a beginning,
Since there is
CREATION
The passion of the word,
Placed for other hearts.
The beauty of expression,
Where genius shares its art.
Gathered
Lost in imagination that wanders the mind,
the poets dream is a whimsical fairy tale.
What cannot be found in the
As I lay deeply sound asleep
Into my mind a rhyme did creep.
The verse so pure with rhythm true
Each accent fell as if on
