Sometimes you have to leave a place
To realize that it's home,
A stranger in a strange land
Nowhere to call your own.
You yearn to turn your heels back
And travel 'long the old way
Until you find that place
Where you left your heart to lay.
In another land, old memories rise anew,
Once believed forgotten
In your blood they still run through.
You cherish those faded images
And cling dearly to them now,
For on your mind's wings
They carry you home somehow.
