Disney Epic Mickey unlockables for Nintendo Wii

Disney Epic Mickey was developed by Junction Point and published by Disney Interactive Studios exclusively for the Nintendo Wii. In this age of gaming, it is becoming common for developers to leave cheat codes out of games and fortunately or unfortunately, this game is no different. While there are no cheats for Disney Epic Mickey, there are some unlockables and Easter eggs.

The player can unlock two classic Disney cartoons by collecting film reels at certain points during the game. The game has 2D transitional sections that connect sections of the game. During these transitional stages, the player can find films reels, with one reel hidden in each section. When the player collects six film reels, the classic Mickey Mouse cartoon “The Mad Doctor” is unlocked. After fourteen film reels are collected, “Oh What a Knight” starring Oswald the Lucky Rabbit is unlocked. Once unlocked the cartoons can be viewed by going to the “Extras” section of the main menu.

Another fun unlockable is the ability to visit Walt Disney's apartment. The window above the fire station leads to the apartment, but it cannot be unlocked until “The Lonesome Manner” stage is completed. After completing “The Lonesome Manner” and returning to Mean Street, the player should go talk to the Gremlin at the Penny Arcade. He will inform the player that the machine has another function, but it requires 30 Power Sparks. After providing the required Power Sparks, the Gremlin will tell the player that something has activated at the fire station. After this event, the player should go to the fire station and jump into the window above the door. At this point, Gus will ask if the player wants to enter Walt Disney's apartment. Upon entering the apartment, two golden Oswald tickets can be found. They are worth 150 tickets, but unlike the regular Mickey tickets, they will not reappear.

The final unlockable is the “New Game +”. This feature has been around for some time in gaming and gives the player more incentive to play through the game again. Upon completion of the game, the “New Game +” is unlocked and allows the player to play through the game again while retaining all the items that they collected during their initial play-through.

That completes the unlockables available in Disney Epic Mickey. While there are no cheats, these unlockables are offered as an incentive to play through and complete the game.
