Dr. Seuss apps come to Android

Do you ever find yourself in one of those situations when your out with the kids and it seems there is nothing you can do to appease them?  You try the Happy Meal, you try ice cream, and just about any other form of bribery you can think of.  By the end of the whole ordeal you’re literally at your wits end.  Here's a thought, turn on your phone and leave the problem to an expert in dealing with children.  That's right, Dr. Seuss apps have come to the Android Market and parents around the globe can rejoice!

Dr. Seuss is a name whose stories have captivated millions of children and parents alike through the years.  Memorable books such as Green Eggs and Ham and the Foot Book are but a few of the timeless classics that keep the little ones mesmerized for countless hours.  However there are times when carrying those books is not practical, so what better place to turn than the Android Market to download an app featuring some of your child's favorite characters.

At this point, only two of the many Seuss stories are available from the app store, one being "The Cat in the Hat" and the other is of course, "How the Grinch stole Christmas" in honor of it being during the holiday season.  The question will arise of whether the rest of the series of books will also make it to the Android Market, but at this point no one knows because there has not been any type of hint or announcement to that effect.  The success of these two on the Android market will be the telling sign, but so far these two have earned rave reviews from users who have downloaded the app on their iPhone. IPhone got Dr. Seuss back in March with the iPad following right after in April.

No astronomical price tag or fee is associated with these apps, as either one will set you back on $3.99.  Once you have made your purchase and downloaded the app, there are multiple ways for you or your child to enjoy the selection.  If your driving and do not have time to be the reader for your kids, choose the have the book read to you option.  You can also decide to obviously just read the book on your own time, or there is also a neat auto-run option that can be used if you’re interested.  The volumes come complete with the same words and pictures that you remember from your childhood, with none of that modernization thrown in.  It does have some quality music to accompany the story and the technology used to create the audio is top of the line.

It is the answer to every parent's mall walking or car driving nightmare.  Bring it to a quick end by downloading either of these apps and bring silence to the backseat and peace of mind back to you!
