SNOW STORM ON CHRISTMAS EVE:
One Christmas Eve, there came a poor stranger
Who happened upon a make-shift manger
Mannequins in a Nativity scene at a church in town
With the poorly-built stable falling down
A snow storm was predicted to last all night
He was looking for shelter to end his plight
There was a mission just down the street
Where he could get something warm to eat
The man couldn’t help but hesitate
At the manger scene in such a poor state
He knew he should be on his way
But something made him want to stay
As the homeless man lingered, he saw the snow
was falling through cracks to the scene below
It made him sad but what could he do
Then, took the cardboard from inside his shoe
He patched the hole above the babe’s head
And knelt beside the rough-hewn bed
With the hem of his shirt, in an act of Grace
He wiped the snow from Jesus’ face
Though only a doll, it was representative of
The reason for this season of peace and love
With his act of reverence coming to fruition
He sauntered on down to the homeless mission
