Angels come in many shapes and forms. Just because you don't see a winged being in the sky - or among the general public - doesn't mean they do not exist!

It is said that in their natural form, angels look very similar to their portrayal by artists around the world both in years gone by and today. But in saying that, angels have many ways of announcing their presence, and it's up to us to keep our heart and mind open.

If you ask for an angel, he or she will come. By God's law of free will, unless it is a dire life or death situation, angels do not intervene in our lives unless we ask. So the first thing we need to do, first and foremost is:

HAVE FAITH. BELIEVE THEY EXIST. Because the more you believe, the stronger "cord" you make between yourself and Heaven.

ASK FOR HELP. As stated earlier, angels do not intervene in our lives - unless we are in immediate danger - without our permission. In situations such as car crashes, angels will not hesitate to intervene. They may either be seen in their natural state, or may appear in human form such as a paramedic or doctor. How many times have we heard stories of people in dire circumstances who have wanted to thank a particular person for helping them out, but that person mysteriously disappeared as soon as his or her task was complete? Remember Hebrews 13:2 - "Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by doing so some have unwittingly entertained angels."

 You can ask for help in any way you feel comfortable. Pray out loud, write it down, meditate, sing it in a song - whatever method resonates with you, your angels will hear it too.

KEEP AN OPEN HEART AND MIND. Once you've asked for help, the angels WILL respond. However, they require us to keep our hearts and minds open. In this negative plane called Earth, it's not always that easy. But we need to try. We need to be open to any sudden feelings, messages, physical signs, etc. that resonate with us and our request.

Here are some examples:

- The classic case of being in a situation, a mysterious stranger turns up, helps you out, you turn around to thank them and they seem to have just 'disappeared'.

- Feathers in conspicuous places, such as your front door step, computer keyboard, desk, etc.

- Cloud shapes in the sky. Feathery wing shapes, shapes of angels flying, shapes resembling a situation in your life. A classic example I can give for this - a month before I was due to fly to Ireland, I walked out after work one evening and saw a brilliant pink cloud hanging right above my office building, resembling the map of Ireland. I strongly believe that this was my angels' way of telling me that all was well, I was still on track and doing the right thing.

- Registration plates on cars. Letters and numbers may just jump out at you. Another example - I was driving to work one morning and wondering if my friend had arrived in Australia safely. He has the initials 'MF' in his name. Not more than a minute later, a car zoomed in front of me, bearing the initials 'MF' on its registration!

- Street signs/shop signs. Just like car registration plates, features on these may just 'jump out' at you. Yet another example I can give you - still planning my trip to Ireland, I came across a florist bearing the name ANGEL'S FLORIST and right next to it was a side street called Mullinger Lane. Just a one letter difference to the town of Mullingar in Ireland's Midlands.

The Divine help you need is only a prayer away. All you need is faith, and God and the angels will do the rest.
