Spring is in the Air

Awaken to birds singing high up in the trees

Why do they sing? They sing from the heart in glee

Slowly the sun rises in the east

For all to see, and to welcome springs best

Trees shoot forth their buds pink, red and white

Ahh, nature in the spring is such a delight

Snow's nearly melted from the ground

Flocks of birds return bringing such lovely sounds

Look, such a gorgeous blue sky

Lily and Iris, are no longer shy

Groundhog said we’d have an early spring

So all of nature could do its thing

April showers shall soon fall

Fields of flowers a delight to all

Bees and butterflies flit hither and yon

Reaping natures bounty under the warmth of the sun
