Where does my inspiration to write come from? I think it would be impossible to list just one source. I’m inspired by my family, my friends and by life itself. I was born to be a writer, but it’s all the people in my life who have inspired me that have given me something to write about. I’ve found myself lost, confused and abandoned and it’s these feelings that inspired me to write some of my best poems. I’ve been happy and in an awesome writing mood and that inspired me to spend hours writing article after article about things that are important to me and some things that I found rather boring.
We all find ourselves at some point searching for our purpose in life. Trying to find that one reason of why we’re here. Sometimes we look too hard and overlook a 100 reasons of why we’re here. Life is about the simple things. Life is about spreading inspiration to those around us. When you helped your neighbor carry in her groceries last week, you may have inspired her to help someone else. What about when your best friend called you at 3am crying and you stayed on the phone with her until she was calmed down enough to go to sleep. All these little moments that we don’t even pay attention to are moments that have the potential to spread inspiration. What’s funny is that the person who passes on the inspiration rarely knows they’re even doing it.
I have a new source of inspiration these days and he has no clue how much he inspires me. I had quit writing for the most part. I would update my blogs here and there, but really didn’t devote much time to my career by any means and then I started talking to this guy and he seemingly instantly fixed something inside of me that’s been broken for years. The more we talked the more I felt the old me coming out again and before I knew it all I wanted to do was write. I will wake up in the middle of the night because something pops in my head and I just have to write it down. Every day that I know him gives me that much more inspiration to keep moving in the right direction. He makes me strive to be the person that I’ve always dreamed of being. A part of me feels that all of that needs to be coming from within myself, but sometimes we all need a little boost, a little inspiration to get us moving in the right direction. Inspiration is a beautiful thing and without it life would be meaningless.
