Christmas is a time for family. Sometimes families need to get away and spend some uninterrupted time together. What better time than Christmas?  What better gift to give your family than a family Christmas vacation. There are many places across the United States that have special events during Christmas time that is perfect for a visiting family.

Smokey Mountains Winterfest 

There is nothing more beautiful than Christmas in the mountains. Throughout the Christmas holidays, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Sieverville, Tennessee are host to the Smokey Mountains Winterfest. They have several resorts and other lodging to choose from.  Your family won’t be bored this holiday with all of the activities going on. From parades, lights, shows, festival of trees, and much more. Even Dolly Wood has a spectacular Smokey Mountain Christmas Festival.

Need to purchase Christmas gifts? Not a problem. There are several shops and stores as well as arts and crafts shows. Pigeon Forge happens to be home to the largest shopping outlet in the world.

Disney World 

Join Mickey this Christmas in one of Disney’s family resorts. When it comes to Christmas, Disney pulls out all the stops. There are special events at each of the theme parks. In Epcot, see how families celebrate Christmas around the world. In Magic Kingdom, enjoy spectacular Christmas parades and join Mickey in his annual Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Both of these parks have amazing light shows every night. Even Animal Kingdom gets in the spirit of Christmas with a holiday themed parade.

Hershey, PA
