Happiness
It is a visitor
Never stays long
It can captured in a
Word or in a song
It can linger momentarily
Only to disappear
Its best friend is acceptance
Its enemy is fear
It is never guaranteed
And it cannot be feigned
And once you truly feel it
It cannot be contained
Happiness is a journey
On which you will get lost
Happiness brings freedom
But to it there is a cost
Welcome it when it beckons
Because it can soon be gone
It's that elusive lover
Whose chase keeps you holding on
