Saturday Morning
Your gentle greeting’s a delight
when I come to you
during a break from work,
and I take in your beauty
while waiting to talk with you,
and the sun rises and falls
with my thoughts of you,
endless desires for this moment
when we take pause
to speak to listen and share,
and words fail to show
how much I care
as I have since the day we met,
moments taken from busy days.
The sense of serenity
I find with you
shows how good life can be.

I admire your intelligence,
Always having something
On this clear crisp night
My dreams are of you holding me tight
Whispering to me as you stroke my hair
Feeling your love, knowing
