It is a delight to arise and find your Christmas stocking filled to overflowing with all manner of small gifts, novelties, and edible goodies. Stuffed stockings are a Christmas tradition which can delight your household without becoming too expensive. In fact there are a large number of stocking stuffer ideas available for well under $10.

Dollar stores, and " Buck or Two" stores, have opened in most communities. These stores feature thousands of items which sell for a dollar or two and they are an absolute treasure trove of items which are delightfully perfect for stuffing Christmas stockings. You can choose to stuff their stocking with ten $1.00 items, five $2.00 items, or an mixed assortment of dollar and two dollar items and your stocking will only cost you a grand total of $10.00.

A child's Christmas stocking will of course be filled with toys, clothing items, and treats. At your local dollar store you will find puzzles, coloring books, pencil crayons, crayons, pencils, stickers, small toys, games, stuffed toys, socks, underwear, hats, baseball caps, and all kinds of edible treats which are just perfect for filling up a child's stocking for around $10.00.

For the adults there are just so many themes in which you can do up stockings. Perhaps an office theme with an assortment of stationary items stuffed into the Christmas stocking. At your local dollar store you will find personalized stationary, note pads, bunches of pencils, packages of collectible erasers, diaries, journals, address books,decorative computer paper, delightful themed mouse pads, pencil containers, and hundreds of other desk items for only a dollar or two each.

You could stuff their stocking with a mug, an assortment of herbal tea, some handkerchiefs, a small box of cookies, and a package of chocolate coated mints. All for under ten dollars.

A spa or beauty stocking is easily put together for $10.00 at your local dollar store.They stock full sized bar soap, tons of sweet little decorative soaps, packages of bath beads, bath salts, powder puffs, dusting powders, bottles of bubble bath, full sized bath towels, decorative hand towels, packages of face cloths, bath mats, perfumes, colognes, after shave, and shaving creams for both men and women. You can even pop in a nice rubber duck just to add a little charm to your gift. There is an amazing abundance of toiletry and beauty gift items to select from to fill up this type of Christmas stocking.

A game themed stocking can be filled with items such as word puzzle books, sudoku puzzle books, decorative pencils, erasers, tiny wooden mind teaser puzzles, some cookies, chocolates, and a nice mug themed to match their personality. Perhaps even a package of Hot chocolate mix or Herbal tea can be popped into the stocking too.

The dollar stores have an extremely wide selection of items which makes them perfect for your Christmas stocking shopping trip. Christmas themed clothing items such as gloves, socks, and underwear dollar items make a nice addition to any stocking theme. While all the small packages of holiday themed sweets, nuts, and chocolates just add that little extra touch to a stocking.

There are hundreds of gift items which can fill a stocking for around $10.00. It takes a bit of creativity, and searching, but it can be done. If you plan your purchases well you might even have enough money left over to purchase a dollar bag of wrapped candy to sprinkle into the stocking as well.
