Why does it have to be Google? Why can't it be another search engine?  Most people only think that Google is the only one you should use.  To be perfectly honest with you, many don't realize that you can use many different types of search engine.  The reason I don't like using Google or Yahoo for specific searches is that it is all about Search Engine Optimization (SEO) now.  Google and Yahoo ask you to pay for spots on the first few pages for your site to come up when you use key word searches or just generalized searches to find things on the Internet.  For example: you could put in playground to try and find a playground to buy for your child, but only now you could find many adult sites or XXX sites on there instead.  If you wanted to find a playground for your child you would have to put in child's playground set in order to get sites specifically related to the subject or item your are doing your researching on on-line.

It's hard to think outside the realm of generalized searching, but these days you need to be so specific that you can't just use one site any more.  In college , we found out there are many other search engines out there like Opera Web browser which you don't have to sift through a gazillion sites to find the one you need. We also find out that not every search engine like Google or Yahoo for that matter has the answers you are looking for. There are different search engines for different topics such as for medical terminology or for libraries in each school.

Every word that you would use to describe something you want to search is what you should use when you go searching on the Internet. Think about the fact of what you actually want to look for now days.  You don't just go to one store to do all your shopping for everything now. You shop around and compare prices.  That's what you have to do for search engines. Did you know that you even have search engines that will compare and hunt prices for the item you are looking for so you can compare and buy from that store without having to go through and hunt down every deal on the Internet?

Windows brought Bing a couple of years ago and it has cut out a lot of the mumbo jumbo of searching on-line.  It brings it to be very
