Spirit of Saint Nicholas Day
Peering inwardly I say
Inspirational this is to me
Remembering as a child he,
Inched down the chimney with care
That man really there?
Oh what a thought
forgot cookies, what?
South from North he has come
Arriving in time for many and some
Ice does not stop him
No snow is he scared
That is him in the chimney over there.
Nick comes at night
Is it from fear?
Could be easier that way each year
How could he travel so far and fast
Oh he is Saint Nicholas my lass!
Lest not forget long ago
A king did not like him, his toys or show
Santa still comes to all one way or another: On Saint Nicholas Day-Christmas
