Remembering Dad
How do I remember that you are gone
Is it when the gutter is replaced you once put on?
Could be the door you said needed trim
Or the lock that might have needed a shim?
How do I remember now that you are gone
Could be the door newly put on?
Could be the drain you said had a leak
That is now plunged once a week?
How do I remember that you are gone
Maybe the new pipes put on
Or the wood under the sink
If you saw it now would u wink?
How do I remember that you are gone
Is it the new house paint put on?
Or the way it was done slow this year
The way u would do as if u were here?
How do I remember you are gone
Is it the new weed eater line now put on
Or cleaning out the gas line
Like you did to make it run fine?
How do I remember that you are gone
Is it the leaf blower that gets turned on?
Or using a rake and leaf bags an such
Cause you thought the electric bill is a little too much?
How do I remember that you are gone
Maybe the face I put on?
Thinking of you now that u are gone
knowing you are smiling not frowning on us as you are looking upon!

Who Does That?
Daddy’s little girl.
I never knew how that felt.
A feeling I used to wonder about,
myself.
Just a hint of
by A. Pesarosa
A car, a house, a woman -
Knew one day it'd come true.
I'd give you all I'd ever wanted
Didn't really
The things you say
And the things you do
I don't have to doubt
'Cuz I know they're true.
You're the realest person
I know
Resurrection
You stir:
lips stretch into a smile;
throat vibrates in harmonious laughter.
I watch
listen;
lean forward-
Surely a father should love you,
be there just like your mum.
Not do it out of hatred,
or turn his back and run.
What happened
