Airlines that give the most bang for your buck

In this day and age of bare-bones, no frill flying, there are actually airlines out there that will make your flight something you can enjoy and not simply endure.

For some reason some carriers have been able to figure out  they can provide competitive prices as well as an enjoyable flying experience, yet at the same time, there are airlines that say they have to cut out the frills or go out of business.

At a time when the customer has somehow been lost in the shuffle of cutting costs and just "getting them there any way you can" one of the top-rated airlines in the U.S. is Jet Blue.

Customer service is always at the forefront with Jet Blue even it it is a low-cost airline. They have an energetic group of people on their workforce who provide great service all the way from the ticket agent to the flight attendant who brings you fresh coffee and a complimentary newspaper.

At a time when many Americans are willing to give up all the little extras just to save money, it's refreshing to know that there is an airlines that can offer value and service all in one package.

Almost without fail you can expect an airline based out of Asia to land in the number one spot. Much of the reason for this is that their carriers are mainly long haul and if passengers are in the air for 12 hours or more they don't want it to be a trip from Hell and expect at least some extras.

According to recent surveys, the number one airline in the world at present is Cathay Pacific.

Everything from service, price, food, cleanliness,  and overall flight experience has continually kept fliers rating them at the top of the heap of all the many airlines there are in the world today.

As expected, Air Singapore, Qantas and Emirates, based out of Dubai round out the top of the list. One thing they all have in common is that they are all pretty much long haul airlines who put the customer first.

It seems to make sense that they would make extra effort to keep customers happy as opposed to fliers who are in the air for one or two hours on U.S. based airlines.

Also, the American flier as a whole seems more interested in saving money in these tough economic times and can do without the great food and over the top service if they have to. Still, it's a bonus if you can find an airline like Jet Blue that provides both economy and an enjoyable flying experience.
