Seeing Santa is a Christmas tradition most children look forward to the most each holiday season. Santa is no stranger to Huntsville, Alabama. He makes several appearances across town in order to see all the good little boys and girls. Some spots are more popular than others, but nonetheless each visit will be memorable.
Constitution Village is a great place for all ages during the holiday season. Located in downtown Huntsville at 109 Gates Avenue, Constitution Village is transformed into Santa’s Village each Christmas season. Mr. and Mrs. Claus, along with their elves and reindeer, make Huntsville their home during this time. Santa’s Village runs from the day after Thanksgiving to December 23rd from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Children can meet Santa, pet the reindeer, and experience Christmas like was centuries ago. There will be activities such as decorating cookies, making ornaments, and much more. Not often does it snow in Huntsville, Alabama but in Santa’s village it snows every hour. For more information, call (256)564-8100.
Tickets cost $20.00 for five people. Photos with Santa are free. The memories that will last a lifetime at Santa’s Village - priceless.
Each year the North Alabama Railroad Museum decorates the train for Christmas. For $12.00 a person, your family can take a forty minute ride with Santa. With admission, your children will be able to have their picture taken with Santa and receive an early Christmas gift from him. The North Alabama Railroad Museum is located at 694 Chase Road. Times and dates vary from year to year, so you will need to refer to the website or call (256) 851-6276 for up to date information.
Located at the corner of Research Boulevard and Old Madison Pike, Bridge Street Town Centre has a Victorian style Santa, fondly named “Santa Gary”, that walks all over Bridge Street. His is available to all children that he meets in his walk from 11:00am to 3:00pm on Fridays and Saturdays during the Christmas season. Be sure to bring your camera so that you can take pictures of your child with him. He is sure to delight children of all ages. Don’t have a camera handy? “Santa Gary” will be available for Bridge Street Buddies where your child can have his or her photo taken with him free of charge.
