Valentine’s Day is a special day held on February 14th where people have the opportunity to express their love and affection to the one’s they care for most. Valentine’s Day is not limited to the love of a couple, but it is open to the love of family and friends as well.
Nevertheless, Valentine’s Day has always sparked the excitement of couples. You will find people kissing, holding hands, and hugging passionately in public during this time of year. It is an electrifying day for couples who are willing to express their love and feelings for one another.
Valentine’s Day acts as a reminder of one’s love for another being. It is an American tradition for couples to shower each other with gifts of affection and care. Generally, it is the man who bestows upon the woman gifts of love and passion. Many people choose to treat their significant other to a romantic dinner at a sentimental restaurant in order to impress their loved one and show how much they truly care.
Nevertheless, it continues to be a controversial topic as to who should pay for the romantic dinner on this special day. Is it the man or woman’s responsibility to pay for the Valentine’s Day Dinner?
Indeed, it is the man’s responsibility to pay for the Valentine’s Day dinner. Yes, Valentine’s Day is a day for both men and women to appreciate each other; however, it is primarily women who expect catering. During Valentine’s Day, women are more anxious and excited than most men. It is the women in the home who are decorating and writing a list of expected treats, luxuries, and romantic items. Valentine’s Day for women is like Christmas Day for children. It is enjoyable for family and friends of all ages; however, it is more exhilarating for women in relationships with men. Therefore, it is only just that a man pays for Valentine’s Day dinner. It is an act of kindness, respect, appreciation, chivalry and love.
If it is not feasible for a man to pay for dinner at a romantic restaurant due to financial reasons, then it would be beneficial for him to treat his lady to a romantic dinner at home. Women adore being pampered and treated with care. Valentine’s Day is the perfect time for a man to show his appreciation for a woman by cooking a lovely dinner at home. This is just as romantic as dinning in at a restaurant, if not more. At home, you have privacy, relaxation, and freedom to say and do what you please. The main importance is ensuring that she feels special.
People should keep in mind that during Valentine’s Day it is the thought that counts. Every man cannot afford a romantic dinner at an expensive restaurant. However, every man can afford to treat his lady with respect and love by showering her with acts of kindness on this special day.
