How do I help you?
How can I stop the painful memories
That cause the terrifying nightmares?
How do I help you
Cleanse the painful secrets held deep in your soul?
A proud and lonely man
Dealing with such dark memories
Abandoned by your family as a child
Abused by some one you trusted
No one to turn to, no one to help
Forty years have gone by and still the nighmares torture you.
The rejection and betrayal you felt and still fear
The lack of trust you feel, the shame and bitterness
You were a child, it wasnt your fault
I reach out to you and feel your pain
I hold you when the nighmares strike
I wish I could take them away.
How do I help you?
All I can do is love you and hope for the best.
