The holidays are quickly approaching and the gift giving is in full swing.  You  have probably done a great deal of your shopping but maybe you are stumped by what to get for one or two people on your list.  If one of these people is a 16, 17 or 18 year old girl, then there are a lot of great choices for her.

This is the age where a young lady is taking that journey into womanhood.  As the song goes "she's not a girl,  not yet a woman." So what can you get for a girl of this age?

For many girls, this is the age where they get their learners permit or, in some states, their drivers license.  If this is the case, then anything related to the car would be a very welcome gift.  A seat cover in their favorite character, an Mp3 car adapter (make sure they have an Mp3 player or IPod), a gas card to a nearby station or maybe personalized floor mats would make their first car extra special.

If  the teen girl is not at that stage where she is getting her licence, there are still many options for a great gift.  

Many teenagers are very into fashion and their appearance.  They like to have nice clothes, new makeup and in a lot of cases, a  new accessory such as a watch or handbag.  If you are not sure about her style, then a gift card to her favoritete store or even a VISA gift card would be perfect because then she can pick out exactly what she wants.  

A girl who loves music can be easy to shop for.  If your budget is a little bigger, then an Mp3 player or Ipod is a great gift for this age.  If she already has one, then maybe a gift card to a music site such as itunes or napster would be a great way of helping her build her collection.  You could also try to get her tickets to her favoritete bands concert if they happen to be coming to town.

A sports fan is usually into a specific sport, team and player.  A jersey from that team or player is something that she would wear with pride.  If a jerseys is a bit too pricey, then maybe a t-shirt or a framed picture of that team or player would be something that she would really enjoy.  Also in that category is getting her tickets to that teams next game.  This is a gift that keeps giving because she will always have the memories of that game and of te person who got her there.

Finally, a girl who likes to read is someone who might enjoy a nice book, or even a magazine subscription based on her interests. Many  girls of this age are into Jodi Piccoult, Janet Evanovich and especially Stephanie Meyer.
