Poetry: The moment of truth

by Jessica A. Tucker

Created on: November 26, 2010   Last Updated: October 11, 2011

Appearing in a question asked,

To choose a side,

To choose a path.

To take the road of higher ground

Or the lower leading down,

Comes a moment of truth.

It may be when you truly have had enough

Of facades, lies, or misled trust,

Or the realization that life is just too short

To dawdle or stumble aimlessly about.

Life is simply just too precious

To live in this world of lies, and distort.

In this moment, we must all face

Our fear of the truth.
