Healthy juices for total wellness

My recipes are very simple: For this first recipe, you can use lime or lemon, they both have similar healing properties. The lime is mild compare to the lemon but with the hot chilly pepper that difference is not much felt.

This juice is so delicious and will heal your cold, flu, blocked nose, sore throat, cough and it can help clear even the chest. Both citrus are known to contain vitamin C, they bring down fever. They are also anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-microbial, anti-septic, fight infections and are known to be appetite stimulants.

Hot chilly pepper will give any dish the edge. It promotes the flow of saliva, helps prevents vomiting, diarrhea, gas forming in the intestines and assist in expelling it, it also acts as an anti-coagulant and tonic. 1 hot chilly pepper contains beta carotene and nearly double the recommended daily allowance of vitamin C.

1. Squeeze 3 limes or lemons juices in a glass, a bit of salt, 1/4 of a small spoon of freshly crushed hot chilly pepper cold on normal hot days and room temperature water for healing purposes. For the chilly the amount can be increased to your taste. My recommended measurement is to my standard.

Pineapples have digesting enzymes called bromelain, they are anti-inflammatory and contain vitamin C.

2. For pure delight, spread sparingly freshly crushed hot chilly pepper on a slice of juicy pineapple or a halved juicy orange fruit. There is no better pleasure in the way you can eat them. But be warned, the hot chilly pepper will bite your lips contour more than any other part of your mouth.

N.B: Contrary to some myths, limes, lemons and hot chilly peppers do not harm your stomach by being acid. In Central Africa where I come from, all these three are taken in all shape and form and in a very large amount. In every dish hot chilly pepper is used, young and old loves it, even small children it does not bring any harm. Some extreme study carried out at the Veterans Administration Hospital in the USA showed that an ounce of Jalapeno chillies injected directly in volunteers stomach did not damage their stomach linings.
