Am I supposed to know you?
Are we supposed to meet?
Do you want to know me?
Can I even compete
with the rest of the people
you have known throughout your life?
Do you have a husband?
Do you have a wife?
Are there children in your future?
Who is in your past?
If you step into my life,
for how long will it last?
Forever’s not an option
We only last so long
But, perhaps I’ll live forever
if you put me in a song
It’s so peculiar how we move,
together and apart,
all of us dancing
to the beat of one, lone heart…

It tries to take away your every crutch.
Even when you know you're right,
You still seem
As seasons change from spring to Fall
And all succumbs to winter's call
This life we live it changes too
From season to
“The most important things in life”
To love and share, to honor and care
To seek and find, to put
Another day has come my way as I crawl out of bed.
To face the world, society and work for little bread.
All these days
I am never quite sure where this life is leading me,
whether I am in control.
