Thank-you, Lord, for provisions and seasonal foods
Humor, laughter and play to enliven our moods,
All the heartbeats that kept our blood surging ‘til now,
Nature sounds such as duck quacks and kitten’s meow,
Kindness, smiling, eyes twinkling, and faces aglow,
Sleep that’s peaceful - those times when our dreams freely flow,
Grace that smiles on us sweetly – we need no excuse,
Islands laden with orchids, and mountains with spruce,
Verdant meadows, wild tulips, and oceans and streams,
Inklings hinting of heaven in visions and dreams,
Nerves that carry sensations of pleasure and pain,
Goodness, beauty and truth and the life You sustain.
AMEN!
