Poetry: Living with joy

by C.V.Rajan

Created on: November 25, 2010

People want to live with joy

With unbridled freedom to enjoy

All and the sundry with no pain attached,

And laugh at people living detached.

For they won’t know that those who live

Detached have indeed learned to thrive

Beyond the mixture of pleasure and pain

That are truly two sides of the coin

Joy is there till the woe waits its turn

The ups and downs are all in God’s churn

Detach yourself from joy and you are

Freed from the woe so much by far.
