A Time of Peace

Halloween ghosts are again buried
and Turkey day too has passed
St Nicholas is taking center stage
for

A present in a box,

 you wrap it with such care

 a gift you chose with love

can you wrap those feelings there?

All the shops are packed with people

piled up  presents in their arms ,

flashing lights proclaiming Christmas

stars

I wish I could hug Daddy just once more,
As I did before he went away;
And sit around the big green tree,
And play with him
