Hello to the guitar players who want to learn some simple songs for the guitar.

If you are a beginner guitarist, I would recommend you take a look at my beginner's guide to guitar playing. If you already know the basics then I am going to point you in the direction of some great tunes to play.

These song choices may seem a bit 'Oasis-heavy' but the truth is, a lot of their songs sound great and follow the same basic pattern.

Ok, here are my song choices -

- Lucky Man - The Verve. Such a brilliant track and it only includes around five chords to play the basic version.

- Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd. A beautiful, beautiful song, and yet so simple to play. I would definetley recommend this one.

- One - U2. Make sure you find the acoustic chord version for this. Another brilliant song. I've surprised a few people with this one.

- Wonderwall - Oasis. One of the best songs ever written. Make sure you have a capo for this one. Very simple chords, very simple pattern.

- Sing - Travis. Another beautiful song. Very simple to play, again, make sure you have a capo.

- Mad World - Tears For Fears/Gary Jules. Brilliant tune, only a few chords used.

- Songbird - Oasis. A very underrated song. Beautiful track, hugely easy to play.

- That's Entertainment - The Jam/Paul Weller. Slightly more complicated chords, but there's only four of them.

- Half The World Away - Oasis. The theme tune from the Royle Family. Great track, very easy to play.
