The upcoming expansion, Cataclysm for World of Warcraft promises to give their fans plenty of things to talk about when they are venturing through Azeroth. While they are numerous changes to discuss, let’s take a look at those that will affect the Fury Warrior.
To help make things easier for players in World of Warcraft, the developers at Blizzard decided to change how the Talent system works. No longer will you need to worry where you are going to spend 51 points over the three various talent trees.
Now, you will need to select which Talent tree your Warrior will specialize in when they reach level 10. From that point on until you earn 31 Talent points, you will only be able to spend them in your chosen Talent tree.
When you make the decision to select the Fury Talent tree, your Warrior will receive Bloodthirst at level 10. This talent will allow your Warrior to instantly attack a target causing damage while allowing the next three attacks to restore some of the Warrior’s health. Your Fury Warrior will also receive Dual Wield Specialization to go along with Precision which will increase your chance to hit by 3%. Your Warrior will receive the mastery Unshackled Fury which will help increase your enraged effects.
Do not forget that Blizzard did change Heroic Strike to make it more appealing as a Rage dump. Now it will become an instant attack and can only be used when you have the required amount of Rage.
Remember too that Blizzard has made several key changes to how the statistics are created for your character. They have removed Block value from shields, Weapon skill, and Defense from the game. Warriors should know that they also changed how Parry works. It will no longer speed up your attack and does not provide 100% avoidance.
There are several things you need to make sure to include when you are creating your Fury Warrior Talent build before you set foot in the upcoming expansion. You will experience some change in your DPS production because they are still trying to work the kinks out of the system, so be patient. The one talent build that is making the rounds is 31 Fury / 2 Arms / 3 Protection.
When you are looking to spend your last point in the Fury Talent tree you will find one of the old favorites to remain around is Titan’s grip along with Single-Minded Fury. The first talent will allow your Fury Warrior to wield a two-handed weapon like a sword, mace, or axe in one hand while the second one will increase your damage dealt by 15% and Slam hits with both weapons.
Overall Fury Warriors should see a rise in the DPS charts as they begin to learn the new talents and find the right rotation to make sure they are achieving the greatest amount of damage for their Rage.
