How to clean your computer

Created on: November 21, 2010

Computers make some dirt from time to time and no matter how advanced the operating system is there is always a chance of the computer making some big mistakes that cost computer space and performance. There is also another type of dirt, the dust, that will block the cpu fan from working right and it may cause cpu burning and over heating.

To clean your computer hardware you should open it and try to remove as much dust as possible using a big fan. Do not try to aspire dust because no matter how powerful it is, there will be always a lot of dust that escapes this vacuum. A big fan will vaporize all the dirty dust inside the computer. If you fail to do this there is a chance that the processor will burn because the cooler is so dirty that no cool air reaches the processor. If you are not sure, run a temperature checking software such as speed fan and see how the temperature is. If the temperature is around forty degrees you have nothing to worry about but if the temperature is getting about fifty you have something to worry about.

Cleaning the software is the second task. Windows and applications are generating new files in real time and sometimes they do not delete it. In that case you need to use several tools to do this job. Windows disk cleaner will not do that much, you need to use more powerful software.  good free software that cleans your computer easily and for free is Cleaner. First clean the computer temporary files. When you use Windows it creates temporary files almost forever and these files are not useful anymore. Delete all these files with Cleaner and enjoy a clean and fast computer again. The second task to clean the software is to delete old system restore points that use the amount of RAM you have in your machine. If you have 8 GB of RAM each system restore will have 8 GB which means ten of them will fill a 80 GB hard disk to the top, totally unacceptable.

Cleaning the computer is not an hard task when you have the right software and when you remember to do it at least once per month, no less. Your computer will run faster, more stable and your confidence on the job will soar because of that. A clean computer is a healthy computer,
