So, you want to venture out on Black Friday to find the best deals. You are ready to brave the crowds. Good for you! Here are some tips to make your Black Friday experience worth the effort.
Plan, Plan, Plan -
Decide well in advance the items that are really essential. Focus on only those item that you need to purchased. It is easy to become distracted by good deals on products that are nonessential, but because of the deep discount you are tempted to purchase. Realize that the best deals have limited supplies. Ask yourself if the item you see advertised is really crucial to your shopping needs. If not, do not add it to your list. Only plan to pick up the most important items. With your plan in mind you can decide which store to go to first.
Arrive Early -
Decide whether the discount you are receiving is really worth your time. If it is, then be sure you are the first in line. The stores with the best deals usually have the longest lines. Be prepared to be the first by arriving several hours before the store opens. Dress appropriately for the weather. Take some snacks to be energized for the long wait.
Divide and Conquer -
It is much easier to get the deals you want if you work as a team. Invite family and friends to join in the adventure on Black Friday. Make sure everyone on your team knows the plan and has an assignment. Then you can get to all your valuable purchases quicker. One person can wait in the line with the cart while others grab other items for purchase.
Avoid the Conflict -
Often Black Friday can bring out the worst in people. There are always stories of fights breaking out over limited supply products. Decide to be above the conflict if at all possible. Make sure that store management is aware of customers who are out of control. Remain calm in the face of an angry customer and possibly you can defuse the situation.
Surf the Web -
There are deals on the internet also. Make sure you check them out. Some deals are better than in the stores and you can avoid all the long lines.
Black Friday can be one of the most rewarding experiences in shopping. There is potential to find great deals to get you through the Christmas season. If you are prepared it is worth the effort.
