How to grow deep roots in Christ

There cannot be a relationship with The Father unless we are deeply rooted in the redemptive work of God's Son, Jesus Christ.  Our only way to salvation is through Jesus Christ, God's only Son.  He died on The Cross for our sins.  When we acknowledge Christ as our redeemer and acknowledge our position in Christ-we form a relationship with Christ, our Redeemer.  We begin to grow in grace and knowledge of Christ.  We start to walk in obedience to The Word of God.  Obedience is an essential factor as to our commitment to Jesus Christ.  Deep roots in Christ begins in faith.  It is impossible to please God without faith in God's son.

We grow from faith to faith and growing  'deep roots' is an ongoing process.  We are daily putting off the 'old man.'    The person that submits his/her will to the obedience of The Word will grow deep roots.  They faith in Christ is the foundation of their new birth;  their sins are covered by the blood Jesus shed on The Cross of Calvary.  Deeper roots requires deeper commitment through obedience to The Word of God.

Hebrew 4:14-16 says this about Jesus Christ, the source of any born-again believer.

"Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.  (15)For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. (16) Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in the time of need."

When we go further in the Book of Hebrews, you encounter  the eternal sacrifice of Jesus Christ for man.  Deep roots in Christ requires a believer to understand what Jesus did for mankind.  Look at Hebrews 10:12 which speaks of His Supreme sacrifice.  It reads:

"But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;"

When we are seeking to establish and grow deep roots in Christ we embrace, acknowledge and by faith accept what Christ has done for us.   We pray, as God directed, In the Name of Jesus.  We study to show ourselves approved unto God and we have The Holy Spirit residing within us.  By faith we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior and sin substitute freely.  With this acceptance we have the promise that, “If we abide in Him,”
