Nashville, Tennessee has a variety of restaurants to choose from when you simply don’t feel like dealing with the hassle of cooking this Thanksgiving. Most of the restaurants are family oriented and are kid friendly. Throughout the dozens of choices of where to dine this Thanksgiving, there are a few that shine above all the others. Many of these are favorites of the residents and have great reviews.
For over 15 years, Monells in Nashville, TN has hosted a Thanksgiving Celebration on Thanksgiving Day. Located at 1235 Sixth Avenue North, they are open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. They are very reasonably priced for the amount of food each person receives. Adult meals are $19.22, children ages 4-10 are $10.98, and children under the age of 10 are free. As always, Monells has a first come, first serve policy so there is no need to make a reservation.
Cracker Barrel is one of Nashville’s favorite spots for enjoying an amazing home cooked Thanksgiving dinner. They have three locations serving the Nashville area. There is one at 4323 Sidco Drive, another at 2406 Music Valley Drive, and yet another at 6941 Charlotte Pike. Their Homestyle Thanksgiving Meal plate includes honey ham, turkey with gravy, cornbread dressing, cranberry relish, your choice of vegetable, and sweet potato casserole with pecans. It doesn’t stop there. You will also receive your choice of corn muffins or biscuits and a piece of pumpkin pecan pie. Your drink is also included in the price. Adult serving are $8.99 and children are only $4.49. Each location is serving this meal from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm. Although no reservations are required, it is good to get their early because Cracker Barrel is sure to be a hot spot this Thanksgiving.
Shoney’s is known for their casual atmosphere and great buffet. Each Thanksgiving Shoney’s loads up the buffet with traditional Thanksgiving foods. The cost for this buffet is $9.99 for adults, $4.99 for children ages 5 to 10, and children under the age of 5 are free. Shoney’s has ten locations across Nashville, TN. No need to make reservations because they have a first come, first serve policy. Wait time may be lengthy so arrive early.
The Hilton adds a touch of elegance to you Thanksgiving dining experience. Located at 121 Fourth Avenue South, the Hilton offers a bountiful Thanksgiving feast through their buffet each year. Adult pricing is $37.00, children ages 7 to 12 are only $9.95, and children 6 and younger are free. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling (615) 620-2178.
Ellandale’s is located at 2739 Old Elm Hill Pike in Donelson, Tennessee and is only fifteen minutes from the heart of Nashville. Ellendale’s is considered a favorite by the locals for the casual setting without compromising on elegance. On Thanksgiving, they are open from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. They have several traditional Thanksgiving foods to choose from for only $29.95 per person. They even have a kids’ station to please the younger pallets.
With all of these choices that are easy on the budget, it makes more sense to dine out this Thanksgiving. Avoid the high price of buying the food and the large amounts of time to prepare the food by allowing someone else to take those stresses of the holiday away.
