The health benefits of beetroot

First of all,a little history.

Vegetables commonplace nowadays, beetroot has a glorious past.

Discovered nearly four millennia ago, cultivated in Iran, Babylon and Assiria liked the taste of its leaves, a short while, he was among the roots to make headlines, especially in Arab countries, where he became goods for export. Caravans merchants went on long road to ancient Greece and Rome, with knapsacks loaded with goods, but also with beets.

Some is consumed on the road and remaining portion is sold successfully. In Greece, beets symbolize the conflicts. On Tuesday evening, drink herbal tea and water to boil beets. All day Wednesday, from sunrise until sunset, not eating anything. In the evening, and drink more tea plants (plantain, St. John's Wort, chamomile, lemon balm and nettle) and ate some beets in the oven, seasoned with lovage and garlic!

 Such a diet villagers allowed them to remain active and clear-up after 90 years. Maybe we'll discover the secrets of perfect health and longevity, if we respect and give  unlimited attention  to this popular vegetable.

Beet leaves as delicious as root

Beets are an immortal holding vitamins and microelements, which, unlike the rest of the vegetables,are  not destroyed, or deactivate b thermal processing.  Besides the culinary virtues, it has virtues of medical prevention of blood diseases..

 It contains iron and C vitamin, present in all parts of the plant.
