Huntsville, Alabama has several restaurants to choose from when you just don’t feel like cooking at home. In fact, many of the restaurants serving Thanksgiving dinners are buffet style and do not require a reservation. Also, the cost of eating your Thanksgiving feat out may be less than buy all the food it takes to cook from home.
Cracker Barrel, located at 2001 Drake Avenue, always serves amazing mouth-watering food, why should Thanksgiving be any different. From 11:00 am to 10:00 pm you can come in and order A Homestyle Thanksgiving Meal which includes sliced turkey breast, ham, your choice of a vegetable, sweet potato casserole, a choice of biscuits or corn muffin, and a piece of pumpkin pecan pie. The drink is included in the price. An adult serving is $8.99 and a child’s portion is $4.99. No reservations are required. They also have Thanksgiving To-go packages which serve six for only $49.99 if you order at least 48 hours in advance. Call (256) 881-4700 to order your to-go package.
Another reason why Cracker Barrel is a great choice this Thanksgiving is because they have a country store. Whether you come in to eat or are picking up your to-go package, you can get a jumpstart on your Christmas shopping with an extensive selection of gift items.
Shoney’s is one of Huntsville’s favorite buffet spots. On Thanksgiving, their buffet choices will include traditional Thanksgiving foods starting at 11:00 am and continues until 9:00 pm. Adult pricing is $9.99, children ages 5-10 are $4.99 and children 4 and younger are free. Shoney’s is another location that does not require reservations. Shoney's is located at 905 North Memorial Parkway.
Every Thanksgiving, Ryan’s loads up their infamous buffet with traditional Thanksgiving dishes. They also have someone on hand to carve turkey and ham as needed. They have a variety of choices to choose from at their salad bar as well. To top it all off, they have a large dessert bar with pies, cakes, cookies, ice cream, frozen yogurt and much more. Huntsville, Alabama has two locations to choose from. There is one located at 10017 South Memorial Parkway and another one at 1808 University Drive. Adult pricing is $10.99, children ages 9 to 12 are only $4.99, children ages 4 to 8 are $3.99, and children 3 and younger are free. Reservations are not required.
Located inside Embassy Suites at 800 Monroe Street, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse adds a touch of class to your holiday meal. For $34.95 per person, you will be served a 3-course meal. Each course you have a selection of traditional Thanksgiving foods. Reservations are required. To make a reservation, call (256) 539-3930.
There are other restaurants that may not offer dining in for Thanksgiving foods, but they do offer Thanksgiving meals to-go. A couple of these include Pauli’s and Picadilly. With all the choices Huntsville, Alabama has to offer for Thanksgiving, the turkey isn’t the only one going home stuffed.
