Remember everything that you put your parents through? It comes back to haunt you!

Motherhood can be the best job in the world or the worst. Some days are very rewarding while others feel like you have opened Pandora’s Box. It is important for a mother to be happy because a happy mom means happy children. Children are very impressionable and learn attitudes and feelings from the influences in their life. For every action there is a reaction. When the actions of the parents are negative, than the reaction of the children will also be negative.

The first step to being a happy mother is to value what it is you are doing. Fell as though it is important journey that you are taking because it is. Being needed by another person can feel very rewarding. Find ways to make the times with your child more enjoyable for the both of you.

Mothers have so many responsibilities just within the home that it can be very overwhelming very quickly. Many mothers in today’s society also have the stress of needed to work a job to keep finances in order. This can heighten your stress. Keep work and home separate and never take out job issues on your children.

Admit when you are stressed. Parenting is not always sunshine and roses. Knowing when your stress level is raising will allow you to step aside and take a break from the stress. Ample amount of sleep and nutrition will greatly increase your attitude towards everything in your life.

Patience, patience, patience. Learning how to be patient with your children is the key to keep the stress levels to a minimum. Understanding is also very important in dealing with young children. If a child breaks your favorite lamp, be understanding and patient with the situation. Stressing out yourself only makes the child stressed as well.

Include you children in your interests and include yourself in theirs. Showing a child that you are interested in the things they love will give them a since of pride and tend toward a happier childhood.

Times will not always be happy and life can hand a person some very difficult hands to overcome. A mother needs to do their best mot to let this get in the way of raising a healthy child.  I myself am a single mother of four children and I could not have a happier life. I have learned to deal with the stress of working, and mothering four children on my own. The techniques and resources are there. As mothers we just need to learn how to put them into practice.
