Article writing is a fun and exciting way to earn money online and you don't have to pay a single penny to start. All you need to be able to write good articles is good grammar and a computer. Signing up to great places like Helium and Associated content are great places to start. There is no limit to how much your articles can earn, as long as the traffic keeps coming and you earn ad revenue then it really is limitless.

You really must choose your articles wisely. Don't pick a subject to write about when you don't know a single thing about it. People will pick up on this with the way that the article is written. They are more likely to spread the word if they can see that you actually know what you're writing about.

♦ Keywords

Keywords and key phrases are a must in any article if it is ever going to make you any money. This doesn't mean you just add the word once and it will be fine, they need to be placed strategically throughout the article. When choosing keywords and phrases, have a good think about what people would type in when they are searching for what that article is about. You have the answer to their question so if you was them, what would you type in? Your main keywords should be inserted at least once in to the introduction of your article, and then at least once in each paragraph. The best way is by finding the keywords with the most traffic but the least competition for your topic.

There are many ways of sharing links to your articles. Email providers allow you to include a signature in to the bottom of all your emails, so add your quality articles there for the receivers of the emails to follow. If you are a member of forums related to your topic you can add links there. The most popular ways of spreading your links though is by social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook and MySpace. If you have a great following then the response can also be just as great.

♦ Write, Write, Write

The real trick is by trying to write as many articles in as short amount of time as possible. Having a good portfolio of keyword rich articles can be a great source of income. Not all articles can make the same amount of money every month but if you had 200 articles that you roughly spent an hour on each and that made $5 a month, that would be $12,000 a year for 200 hours of work. That seems really good to me, so if you had more then you could make more.
