Poetry: Memories you can't escape

by Louise Wulfe

Created on: November 17, 2010

These thoughts come to me,

Shadows of my current life

Twisted by imagination.

Wanton cares,

Sheltered memories.

My heart beats fast

With their refusal

To leave.

What am I to do?

Should I treasure them

Along my lonely road

To nowhere?
