Nuketown is the smallest map for Call of Duty Black Ops multiplayer. If you haven’t had the chance to really examine the Nuketown map because you’re too busy running around with guns a blazin’ (or getting blasted), you probably missed some interesting features. One of those features known as the Nuketown Secret is no longer rumor or secret but it will take some effort to get this small bonus.
Mannequins
After playing Nuketown multiple times, you will quickly learn that the mannequins are not placed in the same area each time. Players shouldn’t get used to where mannequins are located because more than likely, they will mysteriously pop up where you least expect them in the next match.
The secret feature or “Nuketown Secret” of the mannequins is the “egg” or what some gamers refer to as the “Easter Egg” or the “Mannequin Surprise”. When all of the heads of the mannequins are blown off within a certain amount of time, players are given a sweet surprise by The Rolling Stones – “Sympathy for the Devil” begins to play from loud speakers. Just remember, this feature is virtually impossible unless both teams work together.
Jeep Wrangler
Prior to the release of Black Ops, rumors floated about the Limited Edition Black Ops Jeep Wrangler that would hit the market for about $30,000. It was also leaked that a replica of the Black Ops Jeep would be featured somewhere in the Black Ops game – but how the creators would fit a modern Jeep into a game surrounding the Cold War was unclear.
This feature became clear when gamers first played the Nuketown map. The logo on the Jeep in Nuketown resembles the one released on the 2011 Black Ops Edition. The SOGO logo can be found by the drivers-side door.
Rainbow
While taking down the enemy during gameplay, you may have not had a chance to look up at the sky and take in Mother Nature and all her glory. Depicted in the distance sky is a double rainbow which is a rarity – except in Nuketown where it can be seen in each match.
Street Signs
Although the street where the two opposing teams battle it out is a dead-end street, you will see an intersection street sign featuring Trinity Ave. and Latchkey. The streets are named for the first test on an atomic bomb (Trinity) and the nuclear tests carried out in the 1960s known as Operation Latchkey.
Mailboxes
Mason and Woods – those are the resident names on the two houses featured in Nuketown. One
