The internet is a source of anything and everything, so before you start surfing the internet you should be ready and well prepared. What are the things you need to prepare? Here are the things you need to do – get a reliable internet browser, create a free email account and use a reliable search engine.

Reliable Internet Browser

Why do you need this? Since it would be your first time to be surfing the internet, it is important to have a good first impression. And good first impression includes a fast download rate, a good search result and a user friendly browser. So if you want a reliable internet browser you can use Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome. Free download of these browsers could be found at

www.Mozilla.com (Mozilla Firefox) and www.Google.com/Chrome (Google Chrome). But if you already have this type of internet browser, you can proceed to the next step.

Free Email Account

Most of the websites that you will find in the internet will require you an email account. So it is wise to register first a free email account before getting started. In this way, you will no longer go back into registering an email account after going through several websites. To create a free email account all you have to do is to go to Gmail.com and click on “Create a New Account”. Fill in all the required field and you will be able to register successfully. Don't forget to remember or list down your user name and password so you won’t have any problems re-logging into your email account.

Note: Creating an email account is absolutely free so expect that you will not pay for anything. Another thing to remember is not to share your password of your email account to anyone else.

Reliable Search Engine

It is important to use a search engine in your first use of the internet because it will help you find the things you want to find in the internet. All you have to do is to open your chosen internet browser and click on the browser address bar. To find out what is a browser address bar click Web Browser Bar. Now that you know where is the web browser bar, just type in the website name of a search engine Example: www.google.com and press enter. When the website is done opening or uploading, just type for a specific phrase that you are interested at in the search tool bar and press enter. An example of a phrase is “How to use an internet browser”.
