There are plenty of useful tools and entertaining gadgets to liven up Thanksgiving chores and make the holiday more fun.  Here is a round-up of products that can make your Thanksgiving prep work easier and your table more attractive - or that will get you in the holiday mood by setting off rounds of uncontrollable giggling..

* Runny nose egg separator

The Craziest Gadgets blog put this in their "Top 10 Unnecessary Thanksgiving Gadgets" list, but kids, and many adults, are likely to think it's hilarious. It looks like a vase with a face carved into it. You crack an egg inside, and the white comes out of the nose - like snot! - while the yellow stays inside. It might even get the kids interested in helping out with the Thanksgiving cooking.

* Upside-down turkey hat

If the runny nose egg separator put you in a goofy mood, the upside-down turkey hat from Miles Kimball will extend it. This hilarious hat looks like a turkey body with its legs up in the air, complete with the curly white trim that chefs put on the feet. * Turkey dinnerware

The Bowl Company sells a 12-piece set of dinnerware by Spode with a turkey theme. The set contains four dinner plates, four salad plates, and four mugs, each with a picture of a turkey in a field, with a decorative flowery border.

* CoverMate food covers

Thanksgiving means having tons of leftovers - and scrambling to find places to store them. Self Magazine recommends CoverMate food covers which turn any plate or bowl into a food container. These stretchy covers are reusable and dishwasher-safe. You can buy them at many supermarkets and at Target.
