Why calendars make great promotional gifts

New Year is approaching and calendars start to change hands as gifts, not only between friends and relatives, but also among business partners and associates. In fact, offering a calendar as an executive promotional gift is a magnificent, yet relatively cheap idea.

The major advantage of printed promotional gifts is the benefit of direct visibility for the incoming visitor. They can be placed either on an office desk or they can decorate a wall. An image is easier to be remembered and remains in the region of the subconscious mind involuntarily, without any effort from us. So when we visit a certain room or office, any picture, painting or other highly visible object is imprinted at the back of our head (very deep in our brain). In this way, that specific image is stored in our memory and the next time we come into the same image or a very close one, it looks already familiar and we feel at comfort with it. For this reason, promotional advertising gifts, especially those skillfully decorated with strong colors, having the appropriate size and dimensions for the human eye to take a snap shot of them, can be powerful marketing tools.

Besides, promotional products suppliers have improved their merchandise, offering novelty, as well as personalized promotional gifts. This is an extremely significant advancement, when we consider the case of offering a present, for example, to a company’s senior executive officer. This makes the process of finding the most suitable promotional product challenging, since we will certainly aim for a branded item, ideally an engraved, gold, or – alternatively – silver plated calendar. Such a personal gift would make a great impression to the receiver and the effect would be the strengthening of personal and business bonds. Hopefully, this would be translated into higher transactions turnover, ensuring successful long-term business operation and healthy profits.

It becomes obvious that we should not underestimate the importance and effectiveness of carefully selected branded promotional products. Promotional calendars, whether they are wall-mounted or they are placed on a desk, in the senior managers’ board room or in the production supervisor’s office, are effective and inexpensive advertising instruments. Their basic advantage is that they achieve to enhance the brand image of the product that is depicted on them, without any additional human effort or action required from the advertiser.

Therefore, every time a person consults a calendar to check a past, present or future date, when arranging business planning, he/she imprints into his subconscious mind, without even realizing it, the product depicted on the specific image, depending on the month he/she is looking at. In this way, the aim of the person offering the promotional calendar is achieved.
