I Feel So Ashamed!
All at once
I wish I could listen to every single voice
and not be deafened by tearful noise.
In unison,
I would like to see everyone on the planet smile
and enjoy a globalized positive vibe for awhile.
To sense all the love in the universe simultaneously
oh how I crave
(but am I that brave?)
I feel a need to help everyone at once,
to take away their troubles and fears,
Oh, if only I could remove all the tears!
And yet I seem to do so little
I want to, I really do
but still nothing, do I seem to whittle
except give the odd supportive word
and helping hand when time permits.
I am so lucky, living how I do -
nice house in the country,
good food, healthy kids too.
Yet there are SO many not as fortunate as me
and what do I do to answer the call?
Yep, that's right, nothing at all!
I've had a few schemes that I've tried
but ‘cause of my depression I couldn't hack the pace,
so blow the rest of the human race!
Oh the shame!
Yet who's to blame?
My good will is in a mess -
I feel so bloody useless!
And yet
I choose to live (because I have the choice)
I choose to speak, as I was given the voice
so perhaps one day
I will find the strength
to walk the walk
of my mind's talk the talk,
Oh God, how I pray!
and I know he listens
and will show me the way,
when he thinks I'm ready to display,
one day.
(But in the meantime, I guess I may,
have to work on my tattered self-esteem,
for I shall need it, come that day!)

In unison,
I dream of success,
desire more form life.
I often wonder what other things would be like.
Never quite satisfied,

Pondering
You and I together talk
Of reality.
I wonder if reality talks
Of together you and me?
Thinking of you
etched in my view
you can't catch
what didn’t happen
